Technical Support: Online Troubleshooting Guide
Check the Computer
Are you using the correct printer driver software for the printer?  Ensure that the current default printer is correct and matches the target printer.
Check the printer using the Windows control panel.  Does the printer show any print jobs queued?
Do you have enough disk space on your computer?  2MB minimum is required for spooling print jobs.
Check the Spool Settings in the printer driver properties/details section.  If Spool Data Format is set to EMF, try changing the setting to RAW.  If it is set to RAW, try turning spooling off by clicking Print Directly To The Printer.
Check all of the printer driver settings in the properties dialog.  Are they correct for this printer?
What does the computer show as the "status" of the printer (paused, not ready, error, ready)?
Shut down the computer, turn off the printer.  Wait 20 seconds.  Turn on the printer, then turn on the computer.  Immediately when the "Starting Windows.." appears, press F8.  At the menu, select "Safe Mode Command Prompt Only".  At the DOS prompt (C:\), type the commands shown below.  At the conclusion, reset the printer.  (Record any error message which occurs)
CD \WINDOWS\COMMAND (then press ENTER)
TYPE PRINTERS.TXT >LPT1 (then press ENTER)
